Before you curl your hair?

1. Depending on what your hair is like natrually (curly, straight) you could blow dry it before curling it, or just letting it air dry, then curl it.
2. any shampoo or finishing spray should help. most pantene products or john frieda works very well.
3. use a shampoo and conditioner combination that works together to protect.
4. deep conditioning is using a deep conditioner to heal your hair. you could use a warm oil treatment (VO5 makes a great one!) or something as simple as a homemade banana and oatmeal, or even milk treatment.
5. a strong holding hairspray is best. or a protecting spray. got2 b kinky makes a GREAT heat protection spray, you can use it with a blow drier, staightner or curler.
6. you can shower, or if you sleep with your hair curled, it ll be super loose in the morning. showering is the best idea.

i hope this helps:)

1. Heat up the curling iron and while it's heating up apply a heat protectant.
2. I like Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer. It's cheap, smells good, works well, available at most drugstores.
3. I use Burt's Bees.
4. A deep conditioner is a special product (not a normal conditioner) that you leave on for a while and rinse out. It helps with dry or damaged hair.
5. I'd recommend a hair spray that helps prevent frizz like Pantene Frizz Control Anti-humidity Hairspary.
6. If your hair is naturally straight after a shower or two it'll be back to straight. If you decide not to shower it'll probably take a little longer. If you need it straight but have no time to shower just straighten it.

Before you curl your hair?

i use a flat iron to curl my hair and it works really well, so if you have straightners dont feel you need to get curling irons. For tip on curling with them there are heaps of videos on youtube to teach you how.

-Shampoo and condition your with any type. they really wont do much.
- There are many good brand for heat protection but my favorites are deep shine by Rusk or sleek look by Matrix
-Put Curl Memory Up Spary in your hair while its damp and then blow dry it lightly or wait till it is dry.
-Next spary in the heat protectant
-Curl your hair
-Hair spay anybrand really will keep the curls in place.

To get it straight after Prom you may have to wet your hair or just try to use s flat iron through it but some curls maybe hard to get out
