Both me and my mom need a bath bad.?

Postby lucky » Tue Jul 27, 2010 8:33 pm

Me and my mother live in my grandmother's house while she is in nursing home. Since she is in nursing home they take her social security check. So all we live on is her $218 a month pension and our $400 food stamps. We stopped getting her social security check 8 months ago. We have no running water or gas. So me and my mom have gone 6 1/2 months without bathing. Didn't bother us the first few months, but now we are really sweaty and smelly and horribly icky. So my question is where do you guys think we could take a bath? We have no friends, family or neighbors that we can bathe at. We get our electric paid by a goverment program and we pay the cable so we can have internet out of her pension check, so please don't ask how we can afford internet and electric. This is a serious question people. Also where can we get free soap and shampoo and deodorant and clothes so after we bathe we will be clean again for a few months. Cant take this anymore, smell so bad and our skin is dirty with black dirt on us. And also if anyone can help us out with some money please do. TY everyone for your help...OH and we are both adults.

I would think that water would be the essential thing to pay for out of the pension check instead of internet and cable seeing as the internet is available free at the library. But since your priorities are a little out of whack, you can always just go to a gas station or a WalMart and use their handicap bathroom to wash up.

go to the beach showers, its free there. or you could go to the public pools ( i think its like $2) and have a shower in the change rooms, and then have a swim. i would just chuck my clothes in with your grandmas, so the people at the nursing home wash them. and as far as soap/shampoo/deodarant goes by some bicarb soda with your food stamps, it can be used to wash yourself, and be used as a deodarant as it absorbs bad smells. you can also use it as a toothpaste if you combine it with water. i really think you and your mum should get jobs though, youse are hardly living

Why don't you get rid of cable and Internet, and get water. Then get a job since both you and your mom are adults. Sorry I have no other suggestions.

Hmmm, you don't have running water or gas but you have internet. Either you are a troll or your priorities are incredibly fouled up.

I have already helped you out with money. My tax dollars funded the $400 in food stamps that you get.

There are family bathrooms in stores where you both can go in together or either by your selves and wash up in the sink. As far as the money issue goes, you both are adults. You can find work somewhere. Since you still have internet, you can search for homeless shelters and stuff like that in your area or you could ask the people at the nursing home where they are located at near you all and you cam get free clothes and soap and other beauty products that you and your family need. Good Luck.
