I heard the swishing your mouth out with 1% hydrogen peroxide is a great way to clean and whiten teeth without buying expensive stuff. Could it kill the taste buds being that it is 1%? How about cause a yeast infection in the mouth?

The one percent Hydrogen Peroxide won't cause any infections and won't cause any serious problems, if you remember to follow up with plain water.

However, it may not whiten your teeth very much. The Hydrogen Peroxide solutions used for that purpose are at least 3 times as strong (3% solution), and sometimes they are as much as a 15% solution.

But if you want to experiment, go ahead. It won't hurt to try.

No, it states on the container "oral" which means for mouth, just half it with water and you should be fine.
