Did anyone notice the glittery hair extensions on the girlfriend of the tool on Tool Academy?

on the season premiere of Tool Academy (i think was this past sunday) one of the girlfriends (she was blonde) of the tools had these really cool extensions (or maybe they were some sort of implant?) in her hair. they looked like they were just a few random clear glittery strands in her head. does anyone know what these are? i think they looked really cool.
