Do I need a consultation to get extensions removed?

I have keratin bonded extensions and I called my salon to ask about how much they cost to be removed. The receptionist was very snotty and said she had no idea and I would have to come in for a consultation.... I again told her I'm looking to get them REMOVED, not in, and just looking for a general idea of cost. Do you normally have to get a consultation for removal of hair extensions???
