just run.. start off on high intensity 20 minute runs, try doing this daily.. as you get better, throw in some longer distances ... about 1 hour, so you can vary between time/distance as it suits you... good exercise encourages a good diet, so as long as you keep working hard, you will see the affects easily!
Run your walking routes! it adds a whole new perspective to it all....
running will sort out your legs, and core to an extent, but for rock hard abs, try press-ups (these will work your arms as well), or join a gym and get on the rowing machine there....
i used to hate running, but once you get into it, you get addicted....
