How can I tone my stomach?

I had a baby just under a year ago. Before pregnancy I was 120lbs, I am now 145lbs. At the end of January I started training for a marathon starting with about 10 miles a week, then 15 and now for the last 2 weeks I'm up to 25 miles a week. I am still breastfeeding as well. Two or 3 times a week I also do general exercise (sit ups, squats, lunges, push ups and stretching).

My diet is normally around 1800-2000 calories a day. About 5 days ago I lowered my caloric intake to 1600-1700 a day. I am eating virtually no sugar, drinking at least 8 cups of water a day, watching my sodium, eating my fruits and veggies, etc.

Since starting all this at the end of Jan I have lost maybe 2 lbs. My stomach still looks like I'm pregnant and I have gross love handles. My stomach is the biggest thing that bothers me, I have so much attention on how my stomach looks. I want to be able to wear a bathing suit relatively comfortable within about 3 months.

Can anyone give me any solid advice on how to tone my stomach and lose weight more quickly?

Discuss with a nutritionist the best kinds of foods to promote weight loss in your abs and the amount of calories you need for your ideal type of body. It’s worth the money.

Combine cardio exercise for fat burning and weight training to build muscle. Muscle burns more calories than fat does at rest.
