K, so I have been thinking of what i should do for a living when i get a little older... but i don't know how long schooling takes so i was hoping someone could help me figure it out. I was also hoping someone would have some experience with these things and maybe tell me how they like their job.

How long does it take to become a cosmetlologist or makeup artist? I would also like to know how you like the schoolong for it and how you like the career. (If you are a makeup artist or cosmetologist.)


How long does it take to become a pediatrician(kids' doctor.) How do like schooling and the career?

Cosmetology is usually a 2-year program at a community college. I think you would be very, very hard pressed to find any 4-year degree program for that.

Being a pediatrician is more like 12 years. You'd do a 4-year undergraduate bachelors degree, then 4 years of medical school, then probably 4 or 5 years of residency and pediatric training.

You don't need any schooling to be an artist. An artist is simply any person who creates art. You can study art in college if you want to, as it may help improve your skills, but you don't strictly need to. Now, if you want to be a certain type of artist, like a graphic designer, animator, game level designer, or other things, then you would need to take the appropriate degree program at a college because there would be software and techniques to learn.
