i want to use them to apply makeup, i already know i can do this ... it's animal hairs ( horse hairs )
i want to know what are some home remedies to make them softer and able to apply on face.
any feedback is apperciated thanks .

You probably can't soften them without damaging the fibers, which could cause tiny fragments of the bristles to break off in your make-up or even in your eyes (ouch!).

Good make-up brushes are readily available. They are perfectly shaped & textured for make-up, which painters' brushes aren't. Please do yourself a favor and buy the right kind of brushes. Your make-up will go on better, and it will be better for your skin.
