Brush your teeth with baking soda.
It tastes gross, but over time, it will make your teeth whiter.

If you do decide to splurge the Crest Whitestrips really do work. I think they are around $40 and you get get a $5 coupon online. GL.

Do NOT brush your teeth with baking soda! That will WEAR AWAY YOUR ENAMEL, which will then leave your teeth quite sensitive. It will also taste disgusting.

Just buy a whitening toothpaste from a brand that you already use, and try a whitening mouth wash. Just being consistent with it will help whiten your teeth. I liked Rembrant's toothpaste for whitening, but it was too much for my sensitive teeth and made them far more sensitive.

You should also try to avoid certain foods that can cause staining, like coffee and certain berries. If you can't cut them out, then limit your intake. Consider eating an apple at lunch after eating everything else, as it will help slough away buildup, similarly to a toothbrush. You can also try sugar free gum, and I believe some claim to whiten.
