How To Whiten Teeth....?

Postby chandrak32 » Tue Aug 03, 2010 11:57 pm

There are trays instead of strips. I don't know the cost on them but I believe they are more expensive.

Crest 3D White strips work amazing. I got a free sample, only one 2 strips (one top one bottom) and I noticed a difference in one day. I work at Walgreens and the strips are $53.99 for I believe a 14 day supply (I could be wrong on the supply count) but they are always in the ad for $8-10 off and there is a manufacture coupon in Sunday papers about every other week for another $10 off making them $35.99-$33.99.

I don't like the taste of the strips so I didn't buy a package, however; they also make a 3D whitening toothpaste. I did buy that and I LOVE it! I noticed a different within a few days. Again, it costs $4.49 but I got $1.00 coupons out of the Sunday paper and it has been on sale the past three weeks for $3, making it $2 a tube, which isn't bad at all!

I believe there is still a deal on it this week if you buy 3 you'd get a register reward (which is a coupon off your next purchase) for $3. Scenario: you buy 3 tubes prices 3 for $9. you have 3 coupons you get them 3 for $6. You get a $3 RR, and its like paying $1 a tube, you can't beat that!!

Check your local Walgreens ad (you can view it online at walgreens.com) to see if it is the same deal near you.

Long story short: I have found Crest 3D Whitening toothpaste to work VERY well at whitening my teeth!

There is a source below for more information on the product, including other customers reviews.

Good Luck!

if you want something natural, try this.....fresh lemon juice and bicarbonate of soda. mix to a paste and put it on the teeth . leave 5 mins and rinse well. i always rub it into the teeth with my fingers. tastes a bit sharp, but isnt poisonous or anything. try salt and lemon jucie in the same way. works just as well.

How To Whiten Teeth....?

You can use the new Aquafresh Whitening Trays. They work well, and they are not strips, so they are better for your teeth. Crest White Strips work okay, but Aquafresh work better. For best results, use the iso-active toothpaste and any mouthwash that whitens teeth. Also foods like apples, guavas, pears, celery, carrots, sugar cane, cauliflower, and cucumbers have ingrediants that natually take the bacteria off of your teeth. Hope this helps!

Use whitening toothpaste everyday. Brush your teeth 2 times a day, once in the morning and another time in the evening. You can also buy whitening mouthwash. Other people might tell you to use lemon juice however the way lemon juice works (if you can call it that) is by robbing your tooth enamel of calcium from the citric acid in the juice. Another fruity remedy involves mashing strawberries into a pasty pulp and brushing your teeth with them. This tastes nice, but may be almost as harmful as lemon juice for the same reasons. Strawberries also contain acid, and the seeds can damage your gums or even your teeth if you brush too hard.

On the other hand, vegetables such as celery, carrots, broccoli, and cucumbers are naturally abrasive and act like little toothbrushes that scrub away stains. The process of brushing teeth with a baking soda and salt mixture has been around for a long time, and for good reason. It can actually be effective in removing stains, especially with the help of peroxide. Baking soda will also help to kill bacteria which causes plaque, and reduce acids which can harm tooth enamel.

Baking soda is safe to use and easily obtained. If you do use a baking soda mixture, brush gently around your gums so you don't irritate them.

While natural teeth whitening remedies are inexpensive and the ingredients are easy to come by, most are completely ineffective and can be downright dangerous to your teeth. If you want painless, dramatic results, your time would be better spent on a proven whitening product.

swish w/ h202 ... Hydrogen Peroxide... that is said to whiten teeth naturally

you can mix 50/50 w/ your mouthwash to cut the nasty taste of the peroxide.

I have never tried the trays or strips. Some people say they work, sometimes they don't.

A natural method would be to either brush your teeth or swish with hydrogen peroxide. Just make sure to rinse your mouth after wards, and don't swallow any. There are also whitening mouth washes which contain peroxide in them, but not as much as if you have it straight. They probably taste better as well, but expensive.

You can also make your toothbrush wet with water and then dip it in some baking soda. This is very abrasive so you want to be gentle with it. It polishes your teeth.

I've only found 1 whitening product to actually work and unfortunately it's been taken off the market. It was a solution you brushed on your teeth, Colgate Simply White Gel. It looked like a bottle of nail polish. You can still find some on eBay if you want to give it a try.

Just be careful when using whitening products because they're very harsh. I had severe nerve pain in my entire bottom jaw because I had been using Plus White 5 Minute Whitening Gel as recommended. (It says to apply everyday for 2 weeks straight...I didn't make it past 1) So use them sparingly.
