I think you have a lot of potential! I really like the little preview you posted here! Just a few spelling errors i noticed:

change "wreaked" to "wrecked"
change "our" to "out"
change "to hard" to ",too, hard"

I really think this is going to be a great book! If it ever gets published, i am definately buying it!!! Good luck! You have a bright future as a writer!

Wow, this is very engaging! I like it a lot and could definitely see myself reading something like this. One thing I'd like to point out, just as a little constructive criticism, is that the girl sounds a little like Chloe Saunders from The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong: crazy..ish, with streaks in her blond hair (red in her case), able to speak to ghosts, and in a home for problematic teens where she is supposedly mentally ill. I just thought you'd like to be informed. Seriously, though, this book sounds wonderful! Keep writing!
