I want to get my mum something different for mothers day, any ideas?

Postby jedd » Sat Aug 07, 2010 8:34 am

i always seem to just end up getting her flowers and i'd like to something a little extra this year.
She's VERY hard to buy for:
she doesn't really drink alcohol
she hates all that mushy mothers day music (westlife etc)
she can't have any perfume or smellies as she's allergic
my young sister will be getting her chocolate

so ANY suggestions would be greatly received.
Thank You!!
:)

If you live in a house with a yard, get her a baby pig! They require about the same care as a dog. She'll probably have a laughing fit if she has a good sense of humour! I'm thinking of getting my mum one.... she has an acre of land - the pig will be really happy.

How about some jewellery. It doesnt have to be expensive gold or silver. Beads are very popular thesedays and you get mix and match different colours to match your outfits.

Maybe you could put together a little photo album for her? If you're not artsy and into scrapbooking, you could just get the type of album with clear pockets for pictures and choose pictures of your mum and her family. I made one recently for my sister, I just decorated the cover. She loved it!
