I love make up! I mean, I really really love make up!!!
I am pretty good at doing it, but I dont have formal training..even though I have an art degree and am a working artist..HOWEVER I need ideas on getting started so I can supplement my income with this..
I live in Los Angeles, what are some schools? Should I work at Sephora??

See if you can post info in some schools or colleges, or beauty shops. Make sure when you post them, that you have your picture on the flyer's. Make sure you get your hair cut at the places you post these flyer's. Try beauty salons that are privately owned, they are more apt to help you. you can also post flyer's in laundry mats, and grocery stores. But I would only have my picture flyer's at the beauty salons. Make sure the flyer's reads: Free Make Overs, work for tips only. Then draw a map of where you live, make sure everyone in the salon knows where you live, make sure you give a the hairdressers a free makeover. Make sure the map directions say, just live right down the street, take a right at the first block, second house on the left. Make sure you continually give free make overs to these hairdressers, stipulating that you need customers. Word of mouth goes along way, but, you have to do things for free in the beginning. Then, when you do start charging money for this, make sure its very cheap, in the beginning.
