Okay so today i was doing my hair and i mostly tease it so i flip my hair and crap and as i was teasing i see this huge red spot and when i started picking at it it turned out to be a scab and then i look like all over my head and i find like 3 of them. The two smalls ones are like the size of hhmmm not that big smaller than a tic tac, but the one that i was mostly scared about was the one that was like the size of a nickel. It was really dry and i had just washed my hair last night, and im waaayyy positive its not my shampoo or any hair products i use because this is like the first time ive seen these scabs and ive been using herbal essence products for a while. For some reason i kinda think it has to do with the sun because i have been out lately, i dunno but these scabs are really bugging me and i did stop picking but idk why the hell they were there in the first place... By ny chance could i have like some hair disease or something because this has never happened before, and they are like at my hairline above my forehead, i havent checked anywhere else because these were the only ones i were concerned about. Has this ever happeneed to you before? What could it possibaly be?

Don't panic, it's most likely just due to dandruff and you itching your head, which can be from sun exposure. I'm quite fair so I get these sometimes in summer, because sun exposure dries your scalp out and makes it itchy and irritating. Your skin changes all the time, and can get oilier or drier over time, so just because you've never had something before, it doesn't mean its a huge, serious disease. Try using an anti-dandruff shampoo first, as they help to re-moisturise your scalp, but if it doesn't help, and they don't go away, go and see your doctor if you're really worried.

It sounds like they may just be heat bumps since you said you were out in the sun. Maybe try a medicated shampoo if you are really worried about it. Neutrogena makes one called T-Gel. Other brands may make others as well. If it still persists I would go to the doctor.

i get this sort of thing too, i know, yuck, but its fine. my hairdresser told me the other day that it was just some sort of scalp peeling thing, can't remember exactly but you'll be fine. my hairdresser also told me to just brush my hair every night morning and before i wash it to just loosen them a little bit. Im usually stuck with mine for the whole season, this happened to me last year as well as this year too.
