Makeup is not bad for you. Here in the USA ( as I am sure it's the same in the UK ) there are strict guidelines as to what can be in products made for such use.
Yes I have also read the report but as of right now nothing has been proven and if it has it has been banned and no longer in makeup. Also I have never meet anyone in my 32 years of life that has vomited from putting on foundation.. well unless they ate a case of it.. but that's another thread..
If you are still concerned they do make natural lines , also mineral makeup is also made with natural ingredients..
So bottom line.. Don't worry !
Ps: It bothers me that you say you are insecure without makeup.. makeup is there to enhance our beauty not make us beautiful.. I think you should work on loving yourself and you wont' have to worry about relying on makeup to make you feel good.. take care
A good alternative would be to use mineral makeup. My favorite mineral makeup is Sheer Cover. I'm not sure if they offer it where you live, but it's my personal fave.
Try mineral make-up :) it's all natural, so you don't have to worry about nasty chemicals. I'm in the UK too and I use Bare Minerals, they reckon you can sleep in it so I have no problems about it aging my skin or harming me, and it's never made me dizzy or nauseous before.
As long as you're washing your make-up off thoroughly every night, you don't really have anything to worry about.
That's what i also was told, and therefore i use neutrogena make-up , that is natural and oil free. Also, you could use bare minerals which is very good for your skin.
