As the mother of 3 daughters, I know what a 1st haircut means! But, I also know that there are times when I was not there when they needed it (cause I was working full time as well) & they got them anyways! My oldest 2 daughters needed cuts before they were a year old (they had pig tails in the hospital they had tht much hair!!). But my youngest 1 didn't need 1 till she was almost 2. And I wasn't there when she got it! I was a little upset, but I realized that she was getting a little shaggy! I did the same thing U did. Saved a lock of the oldest 2's hair for their baby books. But I was missing my youngest daughter's. So, when she had her next trim, I kept a lock of that! To me, it was the same little girl w/the same hair that got cut a year before that! So, I put in the date of the original cut (tht I wasn't there for) and put in the locks of hair (tht I was there for).
