my friend used to be chubby and really loud and funny and not try hard with her looks at all,, well about a month or so ago one day she just started acting really cool and collected. only making comments when necessary and staying quiet. then she went shopping at urban outfitters and got all these really cute outfits and got makeup and has been wearing it. whenever anyone asks about her change of personality and everything she just shrugs it off. also, she has gotten really tan from tanning beds.. she's even lost like 15 pounds and is looking skinny. she only eats salad and it always going to starbucks and getting iced coffee. all the boys are starting to notice her and everyone wants to be her friend now! its so weird she has completely changed, i feel like she is in a state of delusion.... is there a name for what she is doing or is this completely original??? I don't know what to think of any of it???

she could be happy with this change, but she might just feel pressured to 'go with the crowd.' I'm definatley not like the 'typical girl' and i wouldn't want to be but sometimes i feel that its wrong that I'm not lol. Try joking with her the way you used to and see if she still laughs or finds it fun- if she doesn't remind her she used to and ask her why she doesn't anymore.

you should be happy for her!! it sounds like she is really making herself a happy normal girl. tanning, make up and shopping and starbucks is pretty normal. its just how girls grow up. i mean what girl isnt on a diet now a days? she is making a healtheir choice, she lfeels betteer, and looks great!! good for your friend!! congratulate her! lol totally normal!!
