hi irish funny you say that your last patchouli stunk, because as I read somewhere a long time ago,just because I had a bottle' of Patchouli, that some of the essential ingredients do come from guess what? a skunk I could not believe me as the bottle I had I really loved the scent,it was not irritating, it didntmake me wheeze as a lot of perfumes do,it just really was wonderful.But when I used this up I could never find it again. I also break out from some'perfumes. I do like wind song, and shalimar, shalimar is sort of expensive but wind song is not.they dont trigger my allergy.seems I am allergic to so many things.they stuff my nose up like I have a cold.I am a widow but my husband wore brut as he got it as a gift and you know what, I am being a tad gross,it smelled like male cat pee, neither one of us liked it but our female cat went nuts around him.' I think hedidnt wear anycologne but he would always borrow my herbal essence shampoo,which does smell just heavenly. I still use it and people are always asking what is that great perfume.

Oh my gosh, you made me laug out loud with that cat pee comment! That is THE worst smell besides skunk itself, isn't it? Wheewww!

I've not smelled any of those. I get overpowered in the perfume sections of stores. LOL!

I don't care for patchouli, I find it too strong and over powering - its been known to actually make me dizzy - I like rose, gardenia and lavender, but mostly I like spicy scents - cedar and cinnamon are great! I don't care for most perfumes because they smell fake - they have, what I call, the perfume smell, few smell different, and most of those smell even worse then the "perfume smell!"
