Underarm odor and sweating?

Postby othman » Tue Jul 27, 2010 6:53 pm

I'm a female age 21. I need help getting rid of and controlling underarm sweating and odor. I take showers frequently and I use deodorant. I tried Mitchum it only worked for a while then I started to get itchy bumps on my arm pits. I tried Secret Clinical Strength in regular form and in sensitive skin and both don't help. I'm not sure what else to do. I tried rubbing alcohol and it doesn't help. I keep my underarms shaved and everything. Any suggestions?

If you are taking regular showers. That is sufficient. Don't apply anything to armpits. It will invariably fail and you may get allergic reactions.

You may have extremely over active sweat glands. If the clinical strength didn't work you should go see a doctor and see if they can prescribe you something more potent. You are doing all the right things to prevent this but sometimes your body can just over-rule you. Worst case scenario you can have some of the sweat glands surgically removed. Best of luck!

yes. any soap that has chlorhexidine gluconate in it. that gets rid of odor. it leaves a resadoo on your skin that continues to kill bacteria for up to three days. so if you use it every time you get a shower youll be good. its hard to find at walmart. but i found some at walgreens. and you can ask your doctor for it. (they use this soap before open surgery) its pretty good stuff
i use it everyday the wash all over my body with it. i also found it gets rid of acne.. so yeah.
hope this helps.
