Underarm rash? Don't know what it is?

Postby bradaigh » Fri Jul 30, 2010 1:50 am

I have developed a rash under my armpits that is NOT itchy and NOT uncomfortable, but is bumpy and red, little red lines, like hash marks. I do not think it is razor burn because I do not shave there (it's UNDER my armpits) but even so I've stopped shaving.

I do not think it is my deodorant, because I've been using this brand since i was 12. Even so, I stopped using it.

I do not think it's my soap because I've used that for years too. I still use the soap though.

I used Jergens Natural Glow two years ago with great results, so I started using it again at the end of January, maybe putting it on twice a week since then. Therefore, I do not think it's that - it's only in place, and quite honestly I don't even think I PUT the lotion under my arms! Even so, I stopped using that, too.

I was thinking maybe it's flee bites, but why would it ONLY be under my arms? Why is it not itchy? I changed my sheets. I haven't bought any new clothes (i.e. worn new materials) and I did notice my mom is using a different detergent, but it's ONLY under my arms.

We did get out ballet costumes for the recital literally the day before the rash developed...so that's really the only thing that's been different.

ANY SUGGESTIONS, ANY advice, anythinnng woud be great.

itcould be anything.. the reason it is only under your armpits is because that is a reaaaaaaalllllllyyyyy tender area, so it's easy to get rashes there. if you are truly concerned see if you have any allergies to anything or go to the doctor...? :\
