What are the best teeth whitening products?

Postby remington11 » Sun Aug 08, 2010 3:34 am

I had braces for 4 years, then I got a free whitening when they came off...but of course the dentist ****** it up. I have been using the CVS whitening strips, and prebrush wash with whitening as well as I believe it's Crest or something with Scope plus whitening. It's been over 2 weeks and I'm not seeing a difference. (I also have not been drinking coffee or having anything with redsauce and I don't like soda.)

have the dentists remove the brace stains.

coffee and colas will stain your teeth - use a straw for cold beverages - live with brown teeth if you drink a lot of coffee.

this is the problem with whitening - over time if you do it too much your teeth will weaken and pit then stain 10 times easier.

get them as white as possible then give yourself some flouride treatments to strengthen your teeth - do this regularily - if you whiten a couple of times a month it may not hurt(?) but be careful - don't over do it or you may lose your recently straightened treeth over the next 10 yrs or so.

some people get ceramic caps on the front teeth so they can drink colas and coffees and not worry about staining.

Brushing your teeth after every meal will prevent your teeth from getting any worse. And of course keeping away from coffee, tea and smoking will help too. ;-)

The crest whitening strips work pretty good. I notice a difference the first few times I used it, but the more I used them though the less difference I saw.

As far as the whitening tooth paste and mouth washes, they don't seem to do anything at all.

What worked the best for me was this mail order stuff from teethwhiten.com, it worked really quickly. They had a free sample offer so you can try it out and see how it works for yourself.
