What's the best foundation for everyday use?

Postby walfred » Sat Aug 14, 2010 11:45 pm

Okay I know it's probaby not the best thing to do but I cannot help but wear makeup! I wear it all the time, everyday to school and even work. Right now I'm using cover girl liquid foundation but i'm noticing changes in my skin: sun spots and more pimples. I was jus wondering does anyone know what type/brand of foundation that I can use that won't cause so much damage to my skin (I've tried tinted moisturser but I needed more coverage). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks :)

'Bare minerals' is awesome! Great coverage, won't clog pores, good on sensitive skin and lightweight!!

my fav makeup is dinair airbrush makeup hands down! it covers everything, stays on all day, makes my skin look flawless...it never gets cakey and its also all water based so its not bad for my skin cause it just sits on the surface and doesnt clog my pores...anywho..hope i helped...=)

Sun spots; First and foremost: Clean your face, then use a moisturizer of 30 + or higher!

Second Primers: I enjoy using Primers, it prevents you from breaking out as much and it helps the foundation glide onto your face.
Primers are like what spackle is to walls. It fills in the pores and wrinkles, giving your face a smooth appearence and it preps the skin for the foundation.

Now it's foundation time....

1) Smashbox Halo Hydrating: It's similar to a mineral makeup except it has a built in shaver so when you twist it your getting fresh thinly cut mineral makeup each time. I LOVE it, plus it has added in vitamins and such to help improve your skin.

Price: $50-60 eek! I know! - But it will last you a few months.
You can buy it at www.qvc.com they probably have better prices then: www.smashbox.com

2) AVONS Smooth Minerals: Love how it glides onto the skin, and honestly I prefer it over Bare Minerals any day. And believe me I love Bare Minerals eyeshadows and blushes, but there foundation makes my pores look larger and it accents or creates wrinkles under my eyes that weren't even noticible before the makeup.... So yeah love Avons Smooth Minerals and it doesn't cause me to break out!!! And it makes me look good. I've switched over two other friends on this, and they love it and swear by it.

Price: $10.00- $12.00! YUP, you read right! Compared to Bare Minerals $38 - $60 ya!
You can buy it at www.avon.com or through someone you know that sells Avon. Or through me, I sell online through AVONS site.

3) I love, love, love liquid foundation Estee Lauder has a great one, but again $30 + and it's great for your skin. (SPF 15) ... If you must use a liquid foundation, which I do; I use Avon's Anew foundation helps repair skin and I just use it under my eyes, the rest of my face has either Smashbox minerals or Avons Smooth Minerals

Price for Anew Liquid: $12.00 - $16.00, Which is pretty good (SPF 30).
