for my birthday, my friend got me body spray, lotion, and body soap from Gilly Hicks. i was reading the back of the body soap and it said "for adult use only". i already used it, and im 14, not an adult. but why does it say, for adult use only?
You don't say what actual product she gave you but it's probably just a catch-all thing to imply that the product is aimed at adults rather than kids or whatever, given that Gilly Hicks is an underwear store. There's no reason you shouldn't use it from a health point of view or that kind of thing.
Simply means it shouldn't be used by young children because they could easily harm themselves with it (such as ingesting it), or like other have stated it could be on there simply because it's a store aimed at young adults and adults alike, not children.
I'm guessing you are old enough to realize not to slice it over your tacos, so it's not like you are going to become inflicted health-wise.
