Will is harm my skin to use sunless tanning lotion?

Postby kingsley97 » Sun Jul 18, 2010 6:50 pm

I've asked question after question after question about the subject of tanning and I continue to get mixed emotions about it. I am normally against unnatural things like hair dying and spray tans, but I've read articles about how laying out and tanning can really damage your skin and I do not want that to happen. I bought Jergens Natural Glow and want to know if it works.
1)Does it look real?
2)Is it okay if I use the body lotion for my face or do I need to buy the facial lotion?
3)At what time of day should I put it on?
4) How much do I put on?
5) Will it affect how my skin reacts with sun exposure?
6) When I do go out in the sun do I use my normal sunscreen?
Please help me to answer whatever questions you can!

It's really great that you're actually thinking about the harmful effects of laying out in the sun and tanning because most girls don't care and will end up with skin cancer or age spots.

I use Jergens Natural Glow too!
1) I think it looks real plus I've gotten compliments asking if I went to the tanning bed.
2) I have never used the face stuff, but if you want to then I would definitely use the actual facial lotion. However an alternative would be to use bronzer on your face. This way it's less "permanent".
3) I would put it on at night. Put it on after you shower if you take showers at night.
4) Put on an even layer, not to heavy. It's hard to tell since it's a colorless lotion, but just do your best to estimate. If your knees are really dry then put normal lotion on first and let that dry or else your knees will end up looking darker than everywhere else.
5) No it shouldn't.
6) Yes, you can use normal sunscreen on top of it.

You might get a little blotchy in areas that are more dry on your body, but what i've found to fix it is to use the Nair Hair Removal stuff. You just put a little bit on top of the blotchy areas, let it sit for a min or two, and wash off! Good Luck!
