As we know, hydrogen peroxide is one of the active ingredients in various teeth whitening toothpastes, mouthwashes, and whitening strips. Hydrogen peroxide in liquid form is readily available from most drug stores and grocery stores and is relatively inexpensive as compared to many of these other whitening treatments. It can also be used as a mouth rinse. But will it help whiten teeth in this pure liquid form? If so, how long should one rinse with it? And how many times per day?
Or is there some other derivation of hydrogen peroxide, a different concentration, or an additive which is needed before the whitening action of this liquid becomes efficacious for whitening teeth in rinse form?
